The Anchor Church
The Anchor Church – Zanesville, Ohio. A beautiful new worship campus on the banks of the Licking and Muskingum Rivers at the heart of their community. A critical component of the design is the riverfront elevation which sets back from the water creating a public walking trail connecting two city parks. The northern glass facing the river floods the lobby with light and provides a visual gap between the sanctuary and multipurpose spaces meant for church and community events. On the exterior a public prayer garden provides a gathering space for all.
Sadly, the city of Zanesville is attempting to take the land from this congregation and prevent its development. But we are hopeful this does not happen!
